EXPRESSIONS IN SPANISH
You’ve heard how difficult English
can be to learn. For example, we 'park in a driveway' and 'drive on
a parkway'. And is it ‘fill in’ or ‘fill out’
the form? Spanish can also be tricky.
For one thing, many Latin countries have
different translations of the same English word. For example, the English word
‘cool’ is ‘barbaro’ in Argentina,
‘chevre’ in Venezuela and ‘pura vida’ in Costa
Rica. So make sure to tell your Spanish tutor if you will be traveling
to specific region in Latin America or Spain. Then your tutor can help
you practice that dialect. Chevre?
